Dave and Melissa both grew up in Bakersfield, CA. Dave went into Wildland Firefighting right out of high school. Melissa attended college at Bakersfield College and California State University, Bakersfield, where she earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences. They were married in Bakersfield in November of 2001. Together they have two wonderful boys, Heath (7) and Tennessee (5). They moved to Kimberly in April of 2004, just two months after the birth of their first son, Heath, in search of a good place to raise their family. They love Kimberly and the outdoor life that Idaho offers. They love to spend time outdoors playing sports, riding horses and doing anything that involves the whole family. Dave and Melissa are passionate about God and family. Dave left Wildland Fire to be home with his family more and now works as a firefighter with Twin Falls City. They are blessed to have Melissa stay home with their two boys, training them in the ways and WORD of the Lord.
Dave and Melissa are dedicated Christians, they love children, and are passionate about spreading God’s love to every child in our community. A favorite verse of theirs is Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” They believe that every child needs to know that God loves them and want the children to have the opportunity to experience God’s love and acceptance in a fun learning environment. They are excited to get to serve the Lord God in this endeavor to reach the youth of our wonderful community.
